BREAKING NEWS | Police are currently raiding a  property in Umhlanga, where an illegal call centre is allegedly being run.  It comes after an in-depth crime intelligence probe, spanning months. Members of the SAPS eThekwini District, Metro Police Special Operations Directorate, and SAPS TRT entered the property a short while ago.  They are accompanied by representatives from the banking sector.  It appears a telephonic scam was being used, where millions were siphoned out of various bank accounts.  Several people have already been arrested, including foreign nationals. An update on the police investigation after the viral video of a woman carried by two men. 1. The incident took place on Saturday night in Broad Street, Durban.  2. It was between a couple - an argument first broke out at a nearby flat and continued into the vehicle seen in the video.  3. There were two women and two men in the car. The female being carried had jumped out of the moving vehicle.  4. She was highly intoxicated.  5. She was taken to Addington Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and discharged. This was confirmed by staff at the hospital.  6. The owner of the vehicle was traced by police to Victoria Street, where he lives. He is a Nigerian national and the woman’s boyfriend.  7. The woman was located at a shop she owns in Russell Street, Durban. She is a South African citizen from Pietermaritzburg. 8. She was interviewed by police and declined any further assistance.  @eNCA
