I have become aware of an intended surprise welcome by staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs scheduled for my arrival in Ghana tomorrow. My checks with the Ministry’s management indicate that such surprise welcome ceremonies are a tradition of the ministry to celebrate major accomplishments and proud moments for Ghana. I have expressed my appreciation to management for their thoughtful gesture and instructed that all such plans to offer me a surprise welcome at the Airport be cancelled immediately. I would have strongly opposed the idea if I had been consulted. This is not a personal victory, and besides, there is more work ahead of us. God bless all our dynamic and talented staff at the MFA and bless our dear country even more to keep winning on the global stage under the guidance of President John Mahama. For God, Country and Continent.

The speed of the Abu Trica case highlights a deeper structural issue within Ghana’s justice system. When cases involving ordinary citizens are processed swiftly, but politically exposed persons face prolonged delays, it raises concerns about consistency and institutional integrity. This pattern suggests not mere inefficiency, but selective enforcement a challenge that undermines public trust and accountability.

Reparation of Ghana monies and resources from those who stole them--start from your house JDM..We will not forgive you!

President John Dramani Mahama, You stood at the UN General Assembly and declared the transatlantic slave trade the greatest injustice in human history. You even called for reparations from the countries that benefited. But when it was time to back your words with global support, the United States, Israel, and Argentina rejected your position. Now here is where it gets uncomfortable. The same United States can accuse one Ghanaian of defrauding its citizens, and within months, you cooperate and hand that citizen over to face justice in America. Fast. Efficient. No hesitation. But when Ghana loses over 1.4 billion cedis, and the man accused, Ken Ofori-Atta, runs to the United States, a country he does not even belong to, everything slows down. No urgency. No results. No accountability. So let’s stop dressing this up. When America calls, you act. When Ghana bleeds, you pause. That is not justice. That is imbalance. That is not diplomacy. That is weakness. You cannot stand on a world stage and demand justice for the past while failing to enforce justice in the present. Because leadership is not proven by speeches at the UN. It is proven by what you tolerate at home. Right now, what you are tolerating is telling the whole world one thing: Ghana responds to power, but struggles to assert its own. Fix that or stop talking about injustice altogether.

RANDY SURVIVES AGAIN My very good friend, Dr. Randy Abbey, has survived again and will continue his task of restoring sanity in the management of the Ghana Cocoa Board (#COCOBOD). This time, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has dismissed a petition that alleged that he had failed to declare his assets and liabilities as required by the 1992 Constitution. CHRAJ described the allegation as “wholly lacking merit” and concluded that Dr. Abbey has fully complied with all legal requirements following his appointment as Chief Executive of the COCOBOD. This is to wish Dr. Abbey well and to congratulate him on his victory in this case.

After impressively tabling and securing a UN Resolution declaring the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity, Ghana must show a good example, like Benin, by officially apologising for being an accomplice in capturing and selling slaves to the Europeans.

New Zealand admits slavery was an appalling historic tragedy yet they still refused to back President Mahama’s reparatory justice resolution. This tells you something bigger is coming. The nations avoiding the vote know accountability is getting closer and they are getting uncomfortable.

BREAKING: EOCO accused of abuse of power in US$17 million gold scandal The High Court in Adentan on Thursday, 19 March 2026, ordered the unfreezing of bank accounts belonging to Sesi-Edem Company Limited, owned by Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, the Volta Regional representative on the Council of State, while delivering a significant ruling on the limits of the Economic and Organised Crime Office’s (EOCO) investigative powers.

Abu Trica, who hasn’t caused any financial loss to the state, has been on remand for three months over a fraud case. Meanwhile, people appear before the Public Accounts Committee with millions missing from their departments and not a single arrest. Gift Oware, alleged to have caused over 30 million in financial loss, is still walking free. So what exactly is this system? Because it’s not justice. Ghana doesn’t have a justice system, it has a protection system for the in position of power and punishment for the powerless who vote 🗳️ for them to get power.

Ghana and Colombia have signed a historic agreement to connect the Port of Tema to the Port of Cartagena. The landmark agreement was signed in Bogotá, Colombia after successful negotiations. The agreement creates direct maritime trade connectivity between Ghana and Columbia and is expected to boost trade between Africa and Latin America. I commend Colombia’s first Vice President of African descent, Her Excellency Francia Elena Márquez Mina for being a great champion of this initiative. I thank my counterpart, Colombian Foreign Minister Hon. Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio for her extraordinary leadership and commitment. As the first Afro-Colombian Vice President and I emphasized, it is most inspiring to see how the Atlantic Ocean corridor linking our two countries which previously represented the horror of slavery and a mass grave is now being deliberately transformed into a voyage of opportunity, job creation and economic empowerment. Long live our fantastic Ghana 🇬🇭 Colombia 🇨🇴 relations.

Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s biggest musicians, a man with multiple streams of income, was arrested and paraded like a criminal over a car allegedly linked to a stolen case from the United States. A man who has not caused any financial loss to the state. But Gifty Oware, a former Deputy Director of the National Service, allegedly involved in a 38 million cedi ghost names scandal, a direct financial loss to the state, is walking around like royalty. That is your system. Loud against the harmless. Gentle with the harmful. This is not justice. This is selective accountability. Ghana does not have a small problem. Ghana has a structural failure. John Dramani Mahama, you hold the power now. This is your moment. Reset the system. Fix the laws. Make corruption painful and accountability unavoidable.

China lends the money and jails its corrupt officials. Ghana borrows the money and struggles to jail its own. In China, corruption carries consequences. In Ghana, it too often drags through courts until it fades. When accountability bends to influence, justice becomes selective. That is not a functioning system—it is a compromised one. A country that borrows to survive but cannot enforce responsibility over that money is not facing a resource problem. It is facing a leadership and institutional failure.

Mr. President, God has already placed everything in your hands to reset Ghana. You have the history of the Fourth Republic in front of you. You have the strongest majority Parliament has ever seen. Power is not your problem. Excuses are. If corruption is still comfortable under your leadership, then you are not fighting it. You are protecting it. Those so-called educated people who steal and hide behind loopholes are not smarter than the system. The system is weak because leaders allow it to be weak. Do not deceive yourself. When a leader has power and does nothing, he becomes part of the problem he claims to fight. God did not give you this position to watch thieves upgrade their lifestyles while citizens struggle. He gave you authority to make corruption painful, to close every loophole, and to reset a broken country. If you fail to act, history will not be kind to you. It will remember that you had the power, you had the moment, and you chose comfort over courage. And God will judge you for wasted responsibility, not for lack of opportunity. So act like a leader who understands the weight of what he carries, or accept that you will be remembered as the man who had everything and still let Ghana down. Now tell me, do you want to be feared by corrupt men or respected by a suffering nation?
