Sorry for the long tweet 😇 I usually keep this in my private, but I feel like we need to discuss this publicly more often.

This is not me dismissing the talent of any of the actress, it's me wishing that they've respected the changes they started with. KO said they put so much about themselves into the role and it's sad to see how much of it had been erased with the casting.

The role of Satine was originated by an afro-latine actor, and after KO's departure, there has only been one Latina actress and one black actress to portray the role (as principal). Satine started as a woman of colour, yet there's been more white actresses in the role.
