@HunterAmosATC @BigB_TheeAT But there is research out that that shows when someone with that cap on and a regular helmet collide the risk for a cervical spine injury increases exponentially. They aren’t taking that into consideration at all.

@BigB_TheeAT Haven’t seen any new research come out, so my assumption is that they’re providing the option so they can avoid some liability down the road if a player says they sustained damage because they weren’t allowed to wear them. That’s the only thing making sense to me at the moment.

@BigB_TheeAT There was a study that was done that there are 6 helmets that test better than any helmet with that dumb thing on it. If they really cared about player safety they would mandate that all players had to wear one of those 6 helmets.

Breaks my heart as an ISU grad to think that diversity and inclusion will no longer be celebrated or encouraged. Just terrible really.
