No more waiting. Filing season is open. Looks fancy.. But, If you're salaried - your Form 16 should land by June 15. Don't wait for it. Pre-fill your ITR now, check what's already populated, and flag mismatches early. Last year, thousands got notices for TDS mismatches they could've caught in 10 minutes. Don't be that person this year.

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia Earlier, the Challan Section Code was clearly visible on the NEFT/RTGS TDS Challan. But, in new Income Tax Act challans, now it has disappeared completely. Taxpayers are only able to see the amount and other payment details, but not the actual Section or Section Code under which tax is being paid.

@CAChirag I got one more suggestion. Let's make every Qualified CA after 5 yrs of practice/ employment to give an exam of CA compulsory so that quality of Work is maintained. In today's scenario CA competence is too low.

To make CA a globally competitive field, expect ICAI to continue testing CA Finals students with AFM-type papers. What did students expect—a simple walk in the park?

@samir31192 @CAHimankSingla @IncomeTaxIndia Long story short - GST, Saali ki Shadi, TDS calculations and payments, saving clients from paying interest to the bank etc. Paid 6 lakhs from my pocket to avoid 3% int for delay of 1 day. Portal was ok till 10 pm and lastly I am not the one who decided this due date 😅

Thankyou @IncomeTaxIndia for your world-class portal. If you guys have any shame or accountability (although my hopes are 0%) you will extend due date by atleast 1 day for YOUR OWN FAULT! Professionals and taxpayers want to pay TDS but your infrastructure is so world class that it doesnt supports anything! HUMBLE APPEAL TO EXTEND DUE DATE NOW 🙏🏻

Writing a 3-hour professional exam in such conditions severely impacts efficiency, accuracy, and health. We humbly request ICAI to ensure installation of Air Conditioners / proper cooling arrangements in all examination centres so that students can attempt papers smoothly and fairly.
