Most stores use plastic bags that people usually throw away. Lululemon uses bags that are reusable for many different things such as lunches!! @franklinlorax#apeswaste
We do not produce enough waste to make energy at home, our garbage disposal is also not big enough for large amounts of food. Sendick’s is setting a good example for better more useful ways to use waste!!! #apesenergy@franklinlorax
When going to the hunger task force fish hatchery we were able to experience one method that ecologist use in order to determine an estimated population size and for determining the distribution of organisms. @franklinlorax#apeseco
Surprisingly the things we use daily like the sink or flushing our toilets is not what takes up most of our water use! It’s actually Watering our lawns that takes up most of our water use! @franklinlorax#apeswater
Using this reusable water bottle allows for me to use less plastic every day! There has been an exponential increase in the amount of plastic in our oceans and this little step helps elevate from the problem one small step at a time! @franklinlorax#apesintro
forgot my lil lorax upstairs :-( but tonight i’m using a reusable metal bottle while i run rather than a plastic one! plastic makes up 80% of landfill waste and takes up to 1,000 years to break down! reducing our plastic use can make an impact! #apesintro@franklinlorax
This book has really showed me that when people tell you that “everything you put on the internet never leaves” is soooo true. The lifestyle change that Justine has had to deal with is crazy and I definitely would never want that to happen to me. #fhslanglife
@pitcher_clare I would recommend it! It teaches you life lessons on how one little thing you might think is “funny” or “clever” can have a huge backlash on you and your life. It taught me to check myself before I say something that may be wrong, and realize how it affects others. #fhslanglife
While I finished up the book, The Elements of Style, I realized there’s a lot that I can relate to. I found there are things I do in my writing, I can now change to be better, especially in the last chapter. I can’t wait to bring up those thoughts in the discussion. #fhslanglife
On my way to Ohio for softball this past weekend I continued to read my book. It is so interesting how people around the world who you didnt know existed until one event sparks an entire community to come together and fight against something they all disagree with.
Just finished up my membean for the week! Honestly feels good keeping up with vocab over the summer so it doesnt feel like i am losing too much progress!!
