@hasanthehun Though I don’t agree fully with this take, I think the main point he is trying to make is that he goes to a games for escapism. If a certain ideology exists at the beginning of the game then it exists throughout. Of course ignoring the fact that this may be the future ideology.

@Charalanahzard They should us the same system wr have here in Finland where it’s a percentage based off of your income. So someone came have 250 dollars and 75,000 for the same crime. Don’t know how it works for huge corporations though.

@patrickklepek As an American living in Finland, I’ve been shocked how different work life balance and citizens rights are here compared to there. Having “freedom and the greatest country in the world” shoved down my throat from a young age, I never thought it could be better elsewhere.

I joined VICE a little before my oldest was born. HR would negotiate on everything—pay, vacation, whatever—but refused to match my precious parental benefits (three months), arguing it would set a precedent for others. I was told to be happy with my two weeks and deal with it.

@edm_reed @tha_rami I was born there and left when the Soviets invaded and killed family and we were blacklisted. The USA helped to fight them by helping to create the Taliban. Guess how that worked out? Afghanistan never asked to constantly be invaded or helped. We were never allowed to become free

@tha_rami Come on, they were two centuries back before the bombing started. Afghanistan has done nothing since the British drew the lines in the 1800s.

@edm_reed @tha_rami They aren’t pros at growing it, it is a weed that is impossible to get rid of and grows in abundance in a land that has been ravaged by war. Go tell the farmer to grow something else when his weeds help to feed his family.
