@sammdijk Ain’t gonna happen. You’ll be nearer bottom than the top next season. Don’t forget you got into playoffs because Stevie Wonder was running the line.
I don’t blame the players who, despite not having full quality and were panicking on the ball, still battled in this game. I definitely don’t blame Revell. I blame the hundreds of fans showing up, taking tickets off real fans, and treating it like its their fucking day out.
@Celtix14 Partially ticket system to blame, partially our fans who couldn’t coordinate and were just quite angry at the players, but those both happened because of day trippers who couldn’t care less about the game. I’d have loved our actual fan base to take up the places and no one else!
@sammdijk Tbh blame the actual fans. If random people can be the majority in a play off final your own fans have failed. Yes it's a small fan base but still
@joejessener16 Though this is meant to be a dig its so true, i wouldn’t want us to have a massive unsupportive fanbase instead of the small but tightly knit fanbase we currently have. Would rather have half the attendance on Saturday but everyone actually cared about the game.
@sammdijk I don't understand that you have an average attendance of around 5000, it should have been easy to ring fence a game for fans that have already watched this season ... Don't you have some sort of loyalty scheme
@Simon_Monty Clearly this hasn’t though. I’ve seen night games on a Tuesday with double the atmosphere compared to today. This wasn’t a new generation; this was a group of day trippers. I agree, but real fans are born from great atmospheres that they want to be involved in, not today’s game
@sammdijk Don’t think there were many “real fans” that couldn’t get a ticket.
We need games like this to encourage a next generation of fanbase. Every “real fan” has to start somewhere. 🤷♂️
@sammdijk It pains me to say as an Orient fan but you deserved to make the playoffs, good luck.
I will equally say I have no idea how you watch that negative football every week but it’s proven to work 😂
@ZarBeck26@bwfc_elliot Exactly and thats what matters. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year - if we don’t go up, since we and not you have a chance of doing that
@sammdijk@bwfc_elliot To be fair I was down the side with the Lino in front of me so got pretty much the same view as him. I was convinced it was in before he flagged for it. As you say, Wigan just accepted it. Their goalkeeper knew.
@bwfc_elliot You see one angle and it doesn’t look over, you see another and it looks like its gone over. I think it’s quite telling that the Wigan players didn’t fight the decision and thats what helped me decide. Either way, doesn’t warrant a rescore of the entire league by bwfc_elliot
@bwfc_elliot So that’s based on what your opinion is, for example I’m certain that you decided that the ball didn’t go over the line when realistically, there’s a debate to be had there… there’s a line between dedication and unemployment
@sammdijk Go through every single game and decide what would've been the fairest result
>90% of the time the actual result was the fairest
Sometimes teams will do something like scam a late draw that they didn't really deserve on the balance of play
