I don't normally post personal stuff, but I want to publicly thank @LiamcBakes for an act of kindness which has given some light in what has been a difficult period. To cut a long story short, my son has been quite ill since develping an autoimmune condition in late oct.

Yes to all of this! I know there are judges who are better than this, but this goes to show there’s still a lot of work to be done. Note also that later in the piece the defendant is said to ask for a diazepam…
