@iamtomskinner Doesn't work like that. They have fixed it up so we'll pay the highest energy prices in the world, no matter the source - they sell it back to us at global rates + >50% tax. Also, if wind is 90% of the mix, then they price wind at the highest source ie the price of gas. Crippling

I’d like to know all your opinions in the comments? I’ve just paid £1.70 a litre for diesel. Why are we not opening up our gas and oil field in the North Sea? Surely by opening these and sourcing from our own reserves, we will bring our prices of fuel down, energy costs down, create jobs, bring revenue and tax into the UK economy that can be spent on the roads, the NHS, UK services and schools. We continue to source our fuel from abroad and it makes no sense to me! We should be backing our UK manufacturing and not let it go abroad! We live in very uncertain times especially what’s going on in the Middle East. Love to hear your opinion, let’s back Britain 🇬🇧 - Bosh ❤️

@PeterMcCormack @LiamHalligan The UK is the textbook case to be studied on how to stagnate your country. They cripple their own economy and then tax their people to death to make up for the shortfall.

Ho presieduto due riunioni di governo dedicate agli sviluppi della crisi in Medio Oriente. Al primo incontro hanno partecipato il Vicepresidente e Ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani, il Ministro della Difesa Guido Crosetto, il Ministro dell’Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica Gilberto Pichetto Fratin e i Sottosegretari alla Presidenza del Consiglio Alfredo Mantovano e Giovanbattista Fazzolari. La riunione si è focalizzata sugli ultimi sviluppi della crisi, con particolare attenzione alle misure per assistere e garantire la sicurezza dei cittadini italiani presenti nelle aree coinvolte, ribadendo il massimo impegno dell’Esecutivo. Nel secondo incontro, a cui si sono aggiunti gli amministratori delegati di Eni Claudio Descalzi e di Snam Agostino Scornajenchi, abbiamo inoltre affrontato il tema della sicurezza energetica, con un’analisi dell’impatto attuale e potenziale delle ostilità sui mercati dell’energia e sull’economia, nonché delle possibili azioni di mitigazione che il Governo potrebbe adottare nel breve e medio periodo.
