My latest column in The Hindu, writes Shashi Tharoor, deplores the sluggishness of our judiciary and laments that the process itself often becomes the punishment. Justice delayed is justice denied. He calls for urgent judicial reform in the interest of the human rights of ordinary citizens seeking justice. The people deserve a system that works—fast, fair, and accountable.

The women not given reservations is insult to them? I don’t think so.. My mother and sister never want they to be called as differently abled. They wanted to be treated with respect and not as liabilities. If equality is the goal, then why special privilege? Why a separate lane? Are women asking to be treated as equal — or as a category that needs concessions?

When we have these people in parliament what else we can say .. If equality is the goal, then why special privilege? Why a separate lane? Are women asking to be treated as equal — or as a category that needs concessions?

We have idiots like these who think 543 seats can be divided ane reserved into 33% for women. If this happens the existing parliament will get scrap itself including the one who voted on favour 😂

Reserve seats for women so they could enter Parliament not purely on merit, but through a guaranteed quota?? If equality is the goal, then why special privilege? Why a separate lane? Are women asking to be treated as equal — or as a category that needs concessions? This isn’t empowerment. Empowerment should come from capability, competition, and confidence — not from reserved entry.

Being a woman, I am against women’s reservation bill. No one should be given reservation in India on the basis of caste, religion, gender or any other identity. People should be selected purely on the basis of MERIT.

Today when I woke up, my entire Twitter feed was crying over the rejection of the Women’s Reservation Bill. Everyone is blaming everyone. Politicians shouting, media screaming, blaming each other. No one even knows whom to hold accountable. Just frustration, noise, and outrage. And here I am, thinking — wow, what a day. The bill got rejected in Parliament. Let’s be honest, about what it was trying to do — reserve seats for women so they could enter Parliament not purely on merit, but through a guaranteed quota. If equality is the goal, then why special privilege? Why a separate lane? Are women asking to be treated as equal — or as a category that needs concessions? This isn’t empowerment. Empowerment should come from capability, competition, and confidence — not from reserved entry. Today just raises one simple question: Do we want equality… or do we want advantage?

This is important for so many of MRA/SIFFian who felt that modi ji was acting as a bulwark against the feminist nonsense. In this case it was opposition who delivered while judiciary in recent years became misandrist and wired . So no reason to worry about congress
