The Bible (Old + New Testaments) wasn't compiled at the Council of Nicaea—that's a myth. Nicaea (325 AD) addressed doctrine like the Trinity, not the canon. The Old Testament/Hebrew Bible was compiled by Jewish scholars and communities over centuries (finalized ~100 AD or earlier). The New Testament books were written mostly by 1st-century Jews (the apostles and their circle). Early Christians (many Jewish converts initially) gradually recognized the canon, with formal lists affirmed at later councils like Hippo (393) and Carthage (397). Jews were deeply involved in the origins and early stages.

Nigerian Pastor seen praying for fire to stop. The people who brought religion invented the fire trucks, fire extinguisher etc. religion in the hands of an indoctrinated person is a disaster waiting to happen.

@CEDtalks85 @hagiiigi They never believed him to begin with, the Jews were expecting a worldly Messiah not a spiritual one who promised then heaven. He didn't fulfil any of their messianic requirements.

@hagiiigi @samwellsg Because whether they believe in Him, or not doesn’t unhitch the lineage or ties to the Jews. At one point they chanted, “Hosanna!” Only later did they chant “Crucify Him!” The last book of the Bible details how God is going to bring the back to Christ.

A misuse of prayer does not invalidate prayer. Would you jump in a flood with a life jacket? No! That would be a misuse of the device. How did Christianity become a Roman invention when it was based on Jewish theology about a Jewish God to Jewish People?

@samwellsg The compilation of the Bible happened many years later. That’s like putting together the encyclopedia. Anybody can do that! But the authors were Jews. The audience were Jews. The Apostles were Jews and the God was Jewish. You can’t unhitch the Jewishness from Christianity.

@0seazam @cupido_roi That's just it bro, people are asked to pray while the country deteriorates, corrupt and falls apart. The ratio of believers to awakened people is too small that we are barely making an impact. It's gonna take a while before we can bring sanity to Nigeria.
