Big update on my kiddo’s health! The past week he’s been doing really well and hasn’t had any joint pain or needed any ibuprofen. We saw his Primary Care on Monday and she wanted to go ahead and refer us out to rheumatology at Nationwide Children’s. I’m beyond thankful the referral went through quickly and I was able to schedule to get him in tomorrow! I’ve received so many well wishes from all of you and I can’t express just how much all the love and support means to us. So yeah! He’s doing well! I’m happy to see him be an active 10 year old boy like wrecking my family room with nugget couches and legos within seconds 🥰❤️

@mikejwhelan If in fact she cannot be managed by hospice at home, they will provide in hospice care as needed and you can stay with her. Let them help you. I speak from experience, not from reading a book.

@mikejwhelan I hesitate to send this but I must agree with what everyone is saying about hospice coverage through Medicare and how to manage a patient in the active dying stage. Hospice should be able to provide support to you for bathing, medication, monitoring vitals, etc.

@mikejwhelan Happy to see her looking better. She is such a pretty lady. I hope you utilize the hospice team and the support they offer. They can be a strong support partner for you if you let them.

First time picking up a ball this year. My body hurt just standing up and the ball felt like a shot put but I loved every second of it. Hopefully chemo is done and I’ll be starting radiation treatment 🙏
