Your inbox shouldn’t be a graveyard for follow-ups. Someone asks you to circle back next week… or follow up if you don’t hear back. You think you’ll remember. But a few days later that email is buried under dozens of new messages. And suddenly the deal, conversation, or opportunity stalls. Here’s the hidden tension in email: • When an email hits your inbox, it feels like noise • But when you send an email, there’s often real stakes behind it A client decision. A deal in motion. A conversation you can’t afford to lose momentum on. Timing matters. Follow up too soon → you look desperate. Follow up too late → the opportunity disappears. The people who are great at email don’t rely on memory. They use systems. They set reminders. They track unanswered messages. They keep momentum without the mental load. One simple trick: keep all unanswered emails in one place so you always know what needs a follow-up. Tools like SaneBox Replies do exactly this — automatically surfacing messages that haven't received a response. Because the best follow-ups don’t happen by accident. They happen by design.

@Glowrithm Totally. Start small so the habit sticks — then build from there.

The fastest way to fail with a productivity tool? Turn everything on. Welcome to Day 3 of our Inbox Control series. When you adopt a new system, it’s tempting to activate every feature at once. But when stress hits, your brain doesn’t rise to the occasion — it defaults to habit. Neuroscience shows that stress suppresses planning and decision-making and shifts control to the part of the brain where habits live. Translation: When your day gets chaotic, you’ll abandon the new system and revert to old behaviors. That’s why the key is simple: Build incrementally, not intensely. Pick one change. If newsletters distract you → enable a feature that files reading for later. If non-urgent emails interrupt you → move them out of your inbox automatically. Start with one shift. Let it stick. Then layer on more. Systems work when they’re sustainable. Next up: how to automatically organize your inbox so it stops hijacking your focus. #InboxControl #Productivity #Habits #EmailManagement #SaneBox

Day 4 of 7 Days to Inbox Control: Stop treating every email the same You know the feeling: you're deep in work and suddenly a wave of email notifications hits. Your brain treats every notification like it's urgent—even when most of them aren’t. Not all emails deserve the same attention. The average knowledge worker is interrupted by notifications dozens of times a day, and every interruption fractures focus. The mistake isn’t getting emails. It’s processing them all the same way. Here’s a simple system that works: 1️⃣ Turn off email notifications. 2️⃣ Calendar block time for email. My schedule looks like this: * 9:00 AM → Important emails that require thinking and decisions * 3:00 PM → Low-priority emails (newsletters, updates, FYIs) At 3 PM, SaneDigest groups those low-priority emails into one place so I can scan them quickly without constant context switching. Nothing is ignored. Everything just has its place. Tomorrow I’ll share how to take control

You promised you’d declutter your inbox this year… So why does it still look the same? In this episode of Inbox Control, Thomas breaks down why email feels so draining — and the simple shift that changes everything. Every email triggers two activities: 1️⃣ Processing (What is this? Does it matter?) 2️⃣ Doing (Replying, actioning, following up) Most people mix these up hundreds of times a day. That constant context-switching is what burns you out. The fix? Automate the processing. Rules, labels, and tools like SaneBox can filter and sort your inbox in minutes — so you spend your time on what actually matters, not manually triaging every message. Watch the video to learn how to save serious time in your inbox. And follow along — next up: the most dangerous emails (the ones that feel productive but aren’t). #InboxControl #Productivity #EmailManagement #SaneBox

“If everything feels important, nothing actually is.” Welcome to Day 2 of our Inbox Control series. Most emails don’t require immediate action. They’re: Shipping notifications Meeting recaps Newsletters Product updates Reading them feels productive. But rarely is it urgent. And here’s the real cost: Every time you switch back to your inbox, it can take up to 20 minutes to fully regain focus. Instead, try this: 1️⃣ Scan – Identify truly urgent/important emails. Handle those first. Then close your inbox. 2️⃣ Block – Schedule time later to process non-urgent emails. 3️⃣ Ask – Every time you open your inbox, ask: Is this the best use of my time right now? Your inbox shouldn’t dictate your day. In the next episode, we’ll show you how to automatically organize your inbox so it stops hijacking your focus. #InboxControl #Productivity #DeepWork #EmailManagement #SaneBox

Your email isn’t just your inbox. It’s the master key to everything else. When an email account is compromised, attackers don’t stop at reading messages. They use email access to quietly reset passwords and take over your other accounts—banking, work tools, and more. Most compromises happen because of: • Weak or reused passwords • Phishing scams • Trusting a sender without checking the domain Opening an email usually isn’t the problem. Clicking links or attachments is where people get caught. Signs your email may be compromised: • You can’t log in • Messages were sent that you didn’t write • You receive login or password alerts you didn’t trigger If this happens, act fast: ✔ Change your email password ✔ Turn on two-factor authentication ✔ Secure critical accounts first (banking, work, then everything else) Your email isn’t just a mailbox—it’s the gateway. Start treating it like one. Next up: what to do the moment your email is compromised.

Email breaches don’t start with “hacking.” They usually start with one small slip: a reused password, a missed update, or a link you almost didn’t click. ✅ Here are 3 proven steps to prevent email breaches: Use a password manager + unique passwords Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) Watch for phishing + suspicious logins Worth a quick 60 seconds if you want to lock things down. 🔒 #CyberSecurity #EmailSecurity #Phishing #MFA #InfoSec #Productivity #EmailProductivity, #InboxManagement, #EmailManagement, #ProductivityTools, #InboxZero, #AItools, #AIproductivitytools

Everyone’s talking about the Instagram breach this week— but here’s the part most people miss: If a scammer gets your email, it’s game over unless you act fast. Do this in order: 🔒 1) Lock down email (password + 2FA) 💳 2) Secure banking + financial first 🧑💻 3) Then work tools 👀 4) Check for weird logins / sent emails / app passwords 📣 5) Warn your contacts (they’ll impersonate you) Recovering isn’t about doing everything… it’s about doing the right things first.
