We're thrilled to share an update about our continued collaboration with @developmentseed on the @NASA Visualization, Exploration and Data Analysis (VEDA) platform! See how we've made it easier for researchers to explore large geospatial datasets 🌍 2i2c.org/blog/2024/veda…

Great to see Ola's @openstreetmap adoption over the years finally in production. Congratulations @osm_in! I hope Ola can acknowledge that they are standing on the shoulders of giants. Looks like the APIs use @OpenMapTiles @pelias_geocoder and @ProjectOSRM, along with @Mapbox!

After Azure exit last month, we’ve now fully exited google maps. We used to spend ₹100 cr a year but we’ve made that 0 this month by moving completely to our in house Ola maps! Check your Ola app and update if needed 😉 Also, Ola maps API available on @Krutrim cloud! Many more features coming soon - street view, NERFs, indoor images, 3D maps, drone maps etc!

@dkwiens If one uses video files, in theory one can make sure the animations stay in sync. It would be cool to have a video tile layer in mapping clients I think. We did some playing around with the idea at videomap.earth but it would need a lot more work to do right.

@threepointone haha - have been a happy customer for 15+ years - not sure there's really much to say? they work really solid, are ridiculously cheap compared to most "cloud" stuff and not much fanciness - but if you just want ssh into a box at a great price, can't really recommend them enough.

yo, what do we know about this hetzner company? their customers love them, they're great value, but other than the official account, where are their people on here lol? do they attend meetups? blogs about their work?
honestly I respect the hell out of this whole operation. extremely early 00's vibes for infra.

@internetarchive Hugops. Thank you for what you do :)

Sorry, archive.org and openlibrary.org will be back in a few,
but a short term power outage was long enough to make recovery take a little while.
We apologize.
