Hi 2025, The past few months have been an incredible journey for me. Four months ago, I was preparing for a 5-8 LPA (CTC) job through college placements, aggressively focusing on DSA. Then I had a game-changing conversation with @kirat_tw , which led me to join #Super30. It was not an easy decision to skip the college placements, but I am glad I took that risk. Since then, I’ve been working closely with him and learning so much. Here’s what I’ve been up to: 🞄 Built Algo Arena for @kirat_tw (launching soon ) 👉 Check it out: algo-arena.100xdevs.com 🞄 Working as a remote developer for a UAE-based startup.🚀($2k/mo) 🞄 Building MVP's with @wmemon2022 @Hartdrawss 🞄 Networking with amazing people like @lovebabbar3 , @mannupaaji (Aceternity Founder), @sameersadana AppX (YC S21) founder , @arpit_bhayani , and many others. 📝A few lessons I’ve learned: It’s not just about referrals While referrals can help, they’re not a magic ticket to landing a remote job. I’ve seen people fail even with good referrals, while others secure great opportunities independently. The key difference is consistency. Before joining Super30, I was: ✅Doing open-source contributions. ✅Building projects consistently. ✅Learning every single day for over a year. Start small, stay humble My first internship paid me a stipend of just ₹5,000/month. But every experience added value to my journey. 🎯"Opportunity can knock at any moment—be sure you're always prepared." 🔥Tips for landing a remote job: ✅Be a "crack dev": Be someone who gets the job done and is easy to work with. ✅Don’t rely on job portals: Start DMing or emailing founders directly. Highlight how you can add value to their company. By doing this, you’ll bypass most HR and DSA rounds. Once you get the interview, give it your all! You might fail in dozens of interviews, but remember: it only takes one to succeed.✨ PS: It’s crazy to think how my first conversation with Kirat (this video call screenshot 📸) completely shifted my mindset. Now, working alongside him and being a part of @100xDevs is an experience I’ll always cherish. 🎯

2025 reality check 👇 I’ve been stuck at $1.5–2k/month. In 2026, I’m done playing small. I want to skill up → raise my bar → 3–5× this. Context (no degree, no excuses): • ~2 yrs experience, college dropout • Founding Engineer @ US startup (Ilumiera) • Product Lead @ Dubai startup (QuickSaaS) • was part of super30 & @100xSchool • Worked with @kirat_tw on a full-fledged competitive programming platform • Shipped multiple Web3, AI & full-stack projects as a freelancer I know how to build from 0 → 1. Now I want to build leverage. Question for people ahead of me: What skills, roles, or bets in 2026 actually move income fast— Senior IC, systems, AI infra, niche SaaS, or something else? Money doesn’t buy happiness. Living in the present matters. Greed has no end. Even someone on the roadside can be happy. Be grateful. Enjoy life. Party hard. All true. But ... These lines usually come from either: Someone already successful. Someone who never aimed for anything extraordinary. 90% of people I know just want a stable 9-5, Mon–Fri, then enjoy weekends. Nothing wrong with that if you’re happy. Think about Elon Musk, SRK, Virat Kohli, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sundar Pichai, Steve Jobs, Oprah, Messi .. or anyone at the top, whether in tech, business, sports, or any other field. To be in that top 1%, you have to outwork others. You must love the journey, not just the goal. Don’t let anyone convince you to settle for less when the whole world is out there to conquer .🔥

Some folks think learning in public = chasing followers & impressions. Posting selfies or random 3D banana models doesn’t add real value to your journey. True learning in public is about sharing progress, struggles, and insights that help others too. If you’re just starting out, focus on building a solid skillset first .. that “lock-in” period will help you far more than posting noise on X.

🚨 Freelance reality check 🚨 The harsh side of freelancing → some clients want the world for pennies and then disappear (especially common with Indian clients). Since May-end? Total silence. Ghosted. Not even a reply when I asked for an update 15 days back. Attaching screenshots — read more below 🧵

@TanmayJain5114 Yeah, that framework actually makes a lot of sense, keeps both sides serious about the project.

I used to work in an agency, and I liked their business framework. They charged around 25% upfront and offered a refund if the product was not up to the mark or according to the PRD. In this condition, if the client ghosted, the company did not have much loss, and the client also had the surety that if the product was not complete, the refund would be initiated. Having something in advance made the client serious about the project as well. They divided the project into 4 cycles, 25% each

📌 Learnings: Always take 30–50% advance. That’s the only way to make sure you don’t get backstabbed after pouring nights & effort into a project.

Back in April, I took on a client from India (a leading B2B vending company in Bangalore). They were super bullish on animations, and I gave them a great deal considering the work. He needed it urgently → we pulled off nights, did multiple iterations, and delivered it in just a few weeks. We (@aashish_kathait @xprajjwal_) built a smooth GSAP + Next.js product with 3D animations. Any dev who’s done this knows the time + skill it takes. He even promised us more projects after this. But when he ghosted, I had to pay the developer from my own pocket for the work. Here’s a glimpse of what we built for the client 👇
