Just finished Shura Gedo aka 『 修羅外道 本家襲撃』. Honestly, the only thing I enjoyed in this movie is seeing Hakuryu-san in the role of a mad dog type character. He really acted well in this. But the rest of the movie is sadly just so-so. letterboxd.com/ramenrock/film…

Thank you for the wonderful Lupin III music, Ohno Yuji-san. What an incredible legacy. But I'll always have a huge soft spot for his music in The Shootist. The soundtrack for The Shootist has not been released but here is a piano cover by a fan on Youtube. youtube.com/watch?v=cS8DGx…

I think the movies that I'm particularly excited for are these. From Top left and going clockwise, they are: 1. 『 恐喝一代記』1 + 2 2. 『阿修羅への道』1 + 2 3.『 修羅外道~本家襲撃~』 4. 『 許されざる者』 『阿修羅への道』is a mystery, but the front covers are well designed!

Yesterday was really tiring, I got back home after work late at 10pm. But I was still super happy because my next V-Cinema package had reached! A lot of movies with Hakuryu-san in them that I'm excited to watch with friends. Thank you Neokyo for the great packing! #neokyohaul

RT! I really need to get Le Samourai someday. Every clip I've seen of this movie shows some really nice staging and framing!

Nearly 60 years later, Le Samouraï is still cherished by audiences all around the world.

Very grateful that during the pandemic @studiotstella introduced me to these films. There are great HD transfers of these four films on Amazon Japan. I bought a $100 Amazon Digital gift card to get films off Amazon Video during that period and still do. There are subs out there for them and hopefully we get Blu-Ray releases for them, especially from @FilmsRadiance

One of the fun things about watching movies is discovering good music that was used as part of the soundtrack! This song is 『 スネイクビート』 by a rock band called GENTA, and it was played over the ending credits! It's so catchy! 🎸 youtube.com/watch?v=zndxY_…

I think a part of why I enjoyed it so much now compared with last time, is because I've also come to appreciate other elements of movie-making other than a good story or soundtrack. The music, sound and framing here is FANTASTIC. I'm have to get my friends to watch this with me!

When I first started watching V-Cinema in 2024, I watched "Kamui: Gang of Life Part 1" and couldn't understand a single thing. Today I revisited it and I'm just blown away by how good it is. The visuals, the music and audio, the acting, the plot! AMAZING! letterboxd.com/ramenrock/film…
