Fantastic news!!!!!! Amazingly, my latest MRI brain scan shows no recurrence 10 months since my #glioblastoma presented with a seizure in #Poland. Median time to recurrence is 6 months. I’m extremely hopeful that the novel #neoadjuvant combination #immunotherapy I’ve had & the scientific changes we demonstrated in my tumour post versus pre immunotherapy are being translated into clinical benefit! I’d be thrilled & very proud if this novel approach makes a difference for me & future #brain #cancer patients. Thanks @ProfGLongMIA for devising & facilitating this superb approach & other members of multidisciplinary team including the @MelanomaAus team & other specialists @Dr_Brindha, Helen Wheeler, Michael Back & many others. Well done also to our @MelanomaAus translation research team including @HelenRizos! Fabulous news: experts tell me my MRI scan stable or possibly even better than 2 months ago! Could @ProfGLongMIA’s treatment strategy of neoadjuv combi immunotherapy +/-personalised anticancer vaccine be having a positive effect? Too early to know but great hope for the future!

I am super excited to now be receiving another dose of combi #Immunotherapy (IO) for my #glioblastoma (GB). Fingers crossed incredible research data generated from my #brain tumour after #neoadjuvant combi IO will be translated into clinical benefit for me (& future GB patients)!

Here’s an update on the treatment journey 4 my #glioblastoma (unfortunately is in poorest prognosis subgroup & has many extra poor prognosis molecular features)! I’m overwhelmed & v thankful for incredible support I’m receiving both medically & across the community! @SydneyLHD

Hi Everyone. I’m now Day 9 post-(2nd) craniotomy/debulking of #glioblastoma & sutures came out today! I’m gradually on mend with increasing energy. Looking forward to the weekend. More investigations & therapies next week! Have a great weekend everyone! @ProfGLongMIA

Excited that this Thursday I’ll be cycling 130km from Albury to Wagga, with melanoma survivor Matt Kean & @ProfGLongMIA, as part of Day 1 of the #RiverinaMelanomaRide! Pleased to join Matt Kean as he rides 1000km in Riverina over 8 days to raise awareness and funds for melanoma.
