with the connections having been puppeteering the us (and other nations’) gov who’s to say they put a stop to the search with the hope (or knowledge!) that wesker was still alive and able to continue his research. would be interesting to see if they add any info in the 5 remake

did some 5/LiN pondering last night and came to the conclusion that it was a huge fucking contamination risk just letting wesker’s body float off to god knows where rather than trying to find him.
