Ramesh, a Brahmin candidate elected from the Srirangam constituency, will be the HR&CE Minister. He will oversee the administration of nearly 42,000 temples across Tamil Nadu. The bare minimum I would expect from him is to ensure that temple funds are properly utilized for the development, maintenance, and preservation of the respective temples. But the best thing he could do and what would truly make me happy is to dismantle the HR&CE Board by the end of this government’s first term and restore temples to the full control of local Aran Kavalars, functioning in accordance with their respective Agama traditions while also supporting local community welfare. Good start from the ruling @TVKVijayHQ government raises hope... But there is a caveat! Well, one week is far too short a period to judge a government. But one thing is already obvious: the youngsters in @TVKVijayHQ seem to have applied themselves wholeheartedly to the responsibility they have undertaken, living up to the massive mandate their leader @CMOTamilnadu received in the election.
