@vineeth_naik @CheemsArmstrong @navya17012001 Prefer that to bourgeois justice which leaves billions to starve; exerting structural violence upon the working class everyday Regardless getting rid of the feudal class is literally the Bourgeois position, it's not even communist. That's what the bourgeois revolutions achieved

@miragechazer101 @navya17012001 They didn't celebrate it as much as they defeated the peshwas themselves w eic aid. And completely justified the peshwas were a bigger threat and a greater oppressor compared to the raj

@saouhum @navya17012001 Even mahars celebrate EIC victory over Maratha peshwa. Each caste and community was collaborator to British. What matters is who actually were consequential. The only dynast that seeped into india post 47 with Congress was Gandhi family. What should be done to it now?

@miragechazer101 @navya17012001 Yes, and also the rajputs and all these were forward martial castes. Your point? The feudal hijacking of a popular revolt is an example of rewriting of history acc to state narratives

@saouhum @navya17012001 U know zilch about 1857. 1857 was revolt of gangetic UCs mercenaries of EIC, and allied by local feudals of UP,Bihar. To compensate sepoy mutiny, British recruited Punjabis, Gorkhas, hill communities and quelled the revolt.

@miragechazer101 @navya17012001 And 1857 was crushed by armies of UC Indians itself, your point? 1857 also saw major peasant uprisings against zamindars, whom the forces of the raj rushed to rescue. And yes pakistan was made largely by feudal elites And they promised to not dissolve the zamindari system

@saouhum @navya17012001 >The independence movement was equally against the zamindar, sahukar, and the rajas Crap. The first revolt of indp. 1857, was all about feudals and UC sepoys who revolted. The businessmen were supported post independence in India. And Pak was literally made by feudal elites.

@miragechazer101 @navya17012001 The independence movement was equally against the zamindar, sahukar, and the rajas Who were just as oppressive as the colonial gov if not more in most cases. The execution of the monarch, who claims a divine right to rule is pertinent to shape the consciousness of the people

@saouhum @navya17012001 Muh mass execution. They r supported by the community, both caste and ethnic wise. This is why they even contest election today. Actual dynast in the politics were Congress family. And would u execute capitalist families too? All UCs? 40% of population

In my very, very humble opinion, the only real way out of this mess would have been for all opposition parties to come together, boycott the elections, and demand a complete overhaul of the Election Commission of India. Maybe then it wouldn’t have felt this disappointing.

Referring to 30 January 1933, Carl Schmitt said 'Hegel died'. Is 4 May 2026 the day Tagore died?

@ryuuder The religion teacher being an atheist is rather typical. One has to be secular to study religion, you can study science as a theist and build a worldview where they both (somehow) Coexist. But it's impossible to undertake a study of religion while believing in one

I need to mandatorily present a paper as part of my research track, but there are no good conferences this month. The only feasible option is one being organised by Motilal Nehru College – but if they choose to publish my paper, I won't be able to revise it and submit it to a

@AspiringAntel yupp tbh, they are not v fruitful endeavors too These are really paper "presentation" competitions, they award you on your presentation not the paper itself, managed mostly by students. Except a few good departments which actually read, appreciate and critique ur papers.

@AspiringAntel in the latter case the paper enters a peer review process which takes time, and you can withdraw your paper at any point of that process. But in maj. of the cases they wont publisht the paper anywhere. It might be useful to check out motilal college ka dept publications and see
