@danielle_zoe @Prof_FSultana I’ve been thinking about going to AAG but hesitant about it because I don’t know many people in my circle who attend. Now that I know you go and specially after reading this tweet I’m going to definitely try to attend AAG.

@Prof_FSultana Thanks Farhana! It shocked me because I’ve been attending AAG for years now, and still received that treatment from this individual. I’ll still be attending though, it is a lovely conference, always generative!

I love geography, but it’s prone to academic “superstars.” At Natural Hazards Workshop, I was able to introduce myself to anyone, met over a dozen new people each day! At AAG, I tried to introduce myself to another tenure-track prof, and he rolled his eyes and walked away. 1/3
