(Heart)BREAKING NEWS: After 20 years @WIRED , I was among the group of talented editors, writers, designers, and others laid off last Thursday. I am grateful for the career I was able to build there and proud of the work we all did together.

@dieworkwear The book that only you could write (and so the one you should write) is one that does both, no?

if you had $25 to spend on a menswear-related book, which would you rather buy? 1. a practical book about how to build a wardrobe 2. a book about how the suit died, weaving philosophy, sociology, and politics. and how our consumption habits now impact the environment and wages

Netflix's Watership Down series turned out to be very well done, and it was faithful to the book, except where it cut the boring folk tales. It was a very different look compared to the 1978 film.

I wrote this story a few years ago for @WIRED about the world's first microchip (no, not that one), the F-14, and a poignant piece of family history. Been thinking about it a lot today, and I can't wait to go see #TopGun because of it. wired.com/story/secret-h…

Yesterday was my last day @wired. My years there—surrounded by so many wise, caring, brilliant colleagues and true friends—have been life-defining. I will treasure the things we built, and the people we built them with, always.
