Phase 3 is making and attaching the lining, doing a controlled frayed hem, and the dyeing process. I still have months of work before then. Phase 4 is making the other layers, mask, and weird prop thing (idk what it’s called).

Phase one is getting all of the irregular pleats/wrinkles & puffs sewn down. Phase two is the true embroidery part where I start layering different stitches, adding beads, and couching the cotton cording that will dominate this robe

I already have good references of the front/back from head to toe and have puzzled out shapes yet the detailing- the thing I’m excited about- I find more than a gray blur 😐

I did find the social media of the team that worked on this particular dress but they haven’t posted photos and only have verbal descriptions of the supplies used. It’s impossible to tell what was used where with all the blurry/ poorly lit pics

Have you ever been without power thanks to a hurricane, give yourself an almost concussion, get locked out of the house & have to climb back in through a window all within 24 hours? (Not necessarily in that order) I am living at maximum ✨chaos✨rn

Redid the sculpts for my ears & my silicone prosthetic glue arrived way ahead of schedule. My lining fabric for the top layer has also appeared so it’s time to start working on the skeleton fish appliqué I want to sneak into the cosplay for lore reasons

Got some plaster teeth that need touch ups. Also demolded the ears (which was nerve wracking) and I’m waiting on the latex test cast to cure

Did my first live casting of my teeth. I may have goofed a bit on it but we’ll see how the plaster cast turns out. As long as the front eight teeth are there with a gum line, it’s good to go

Finished the first section of pleats now I’m working my way backwards as I add the dumplings, French knots, chain stitch lines, and split stitch lines

The fabric sculpting has begun. This is Part 1: making the irregular pleats and sewing down the puffs. I’ll have to make soooo many more puffs though. I’m already running low 😅

Cooked up a sampler of texture for my Plague Bearer White No Face. I’m currently making an army of tiny puffs for the next few days before I can move onto basting down the details layers with irregular pleats

“A dance with me ends in blood” Got to awkwardly balance in the old bird feet again but @Huffoto made me look epic (even though I was a wobble away from falling over 😂)

Currently hammering out my terms and services for a limited five commission slots. Will be limited to the US and just to props/accessories/small armor. I also will offer a 3D print finishing service because I am very good at sanding lol.

Just read the entirety of the comic The Wicked + The Divine and I am still processing it because the story was insane. There’s about a million different themes to pull out of it and all of them were things I needed to hear right now

Self care is not buying all polyester fabric for a hanfu and getting cotton gauzes, lawn cotton, and a random cotton jacquard instead. I want a summer appropriate hanfu and this is the only way
