Your relationship to uncertainty relates to how safe you feel in the present moment.

Emotional dysregulation isn’t a fixed part of #ADHD, it’s a skill gap.

If you are only motivated by fear of negative consequences you may:
-Procrastinate until there is a deadline
-People please
-Feel lost without external pressure
-Struggle with low mood
-Struggle with emotional regulation

If you struggle to self-regulate your emotions, time and boundaries
It’s probably because you didn’t have anyone who modelled for you…

Without addressing this lack of internal safety, ADHDers will be stuck in the chaotic loop of survival patterns
These patterns are not due to #ADHD, they are due to being raised in this society with ADHD…
It’s time to change the narrative…

Unpopular opinion:
Most behaviours attributed to #ADHD are not because we are “chasing the dopamine” but because we are chasing external acceptance, validation or distraction due to a lack of internal safety…

When learning to regulate your nervous system, it’s important to SLOWLY build in familiarity and regularity into your daily life
If you have spent your life in chaos, routine and regularity can feel scary or overwhelming
Go SLOW

Regulating your nervous system helps you develop a sense of internal safety, confidence and competence.
So if you are stuck in the chaos, know that you make sense, and there is a way out!

I’m now unsubscribing from the word “failure”
It’s too heavy for a reframe so I shall hence forth be referring to my “failures” as “bloopers”
I can still learn from them but I’m gonna find them funny as-well 🤣

@nonbinaryLoki There is actually more evidence to show that it is cPTSD and when these symptoms improve when treated as such 🙌

@ADH_Dopameme It’s part of “rejection sensitivity dysphoria,” you get reacted to negatively by your peers so many times you start to reject yourself and believe that other ppls negative reactions to you are justified, this leads to depression, anxiety, and low self esteem

@SasaHarper Hey is there any chance you would consider changing your handle? Thanks Saša
