At the SASBMB General Meeting, Prof. Francois van der Westhuizen retired as President, with Dr. Jo de la Mare from Rhodes University taking over. We thank Prof. van der Westhuizen for his exceptional leadership and also bid farewell to retiring council members.

The 28th SASBMB Congress at Protea Ranch Resort, Polokwane (7-10 July) was the largest ever, with 400+ delegates. Prof. Ed Sturrock and Prof. Thulani Makhalanyane received Gold and Silver medals. The event featured top international speakers and was a big success! 🎉🔬#SASBMB2024
