@libsoftiktok The left eats itself. For those who don't know, this is the NDP, the "third party" in Canadian politics. It was part of a coalition with the Liberal Party under Justin Trudeau which held power for many years despite never winning a majority -- so more than just fringe nuttery.

I used to laugh when I saw this sort of thing in university. But university students grow up and become teachers, bureaucrats, lawyers and judges. This is your ruling class now.

The absolute state of the London liberal. Here we have a woman, likely a member of the "educated" elite, clutching a "Stop Bombing Iran" sign. She’s confronted by an Iranian woman—someone who has actually lived under the thumb of that regime, someone who has been imprisoned by them, someone who cannot even return to visit her father's grave. Does the protester listen? Does she pause to consider the reality of the "regime" she’s indirectly defending? Of course not. She offers a vacant, condescending smirk. It is a perfect distillation of the modern Left: prioritising performative virtue and anti-Western slogans over the lived reality of the very people they claim to care about. They’d rather side with a theocratic, oppressive regime than admit that the bad guys aren’t those in the West. Total and utter woke vapidness.

Oxford University researchers have discovered the densest element yet known to science... The new element, Governmentium (symbol=Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called pillocks. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as a critical morass. When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium (symbol=Ad), an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium, since it has half as many pillocks but twice as many morons.

Rwandan migrant Emmanuel Abayisenga had his asylum application to France rejected multiple times since submitting it in 2012. Despite orders for deportation, he remained in the country illegally. The priests trusted him with the cathedral keys, putting him in charge of locking up and caretaking. After he set the building on fire, destroying the organ and organ loft, Father Maire took him in, offering him shelter in his own home while awaiting trial. He then murdered Father Maire. Europe in a nutshell.

“Let’s spend £4.5 trillion on net zero over the next 25 years. Let’s increase taxes to pay for net zero. Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments worth £7.2million from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give huge renewable energy construction contracts to China. Lets fail to improve gas storage facilities, Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £1billion this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”

@Kilted_Sailor @edwest The HoC's sole democratic legitimacy wouldn't be affected under this arrangement, as HoL members wouldn't be directly elected (as proposed under other schemes). The new HoL would have the same role and powers as now but would be far more representative of public attitudes.

British taxpayers handed another £700 million to Brussels last year, Labour quietly admitted yesterday in an attempt to bury bad news on the day they broke up for Easter. Joanna Marchong of the Adam Smith Institute think tank says '..... MPs appear to be making fresh contributions in exchange for access to EU programmes'. So, basically, ignoring the Brexit referendum result. As we knew Labour would. Sneaky bastards.

East Anglia One has become the latest windfarm to join the Billion Pound Club, having received £1 billion in CfD subsidies. It joins Walney Extension, Beatrice, Hornsea 1 and Dudgeon in the group. Ed Davey is the man to blame for this disgusting largesse.

@WassonWatch Another fallacy about Strait of Hormuz is the claims of some military strategists that the US should have put troops on the Iranian shore to protect the strait -- as if Iran couldn't cause just as much disruption by firing rockets from its northernmost territories.

I have been silent about this for a long time, but I can no longer keep quiet about it in good conscience. The "Strait" of Hormuz isn't straight at all. It's super crooked. You can see in the helpful graphic I put together below. The elites don't want you to know this.
