this whole thing is scary like i fear for the jpn bl industry now. its heartbreaking that authors have to censor themselves cuz ppl cant learn to avoid stuff they dont like and the industry is enabling them, rejecting certain works and even telling authors to accommodate to them

Also, harassing other ppl esp the author over fiction is not it. Criticism is valid, but targeting real people, sending hate, or trying to shame others for what they write or read crosses the line.

It's important to recognize that depiction doesn't always equal glorification. Reducing everything to "this is wrong, therefore the story is bad" overlooks what fiction does best which is exploring things that are messy, uncomfy, and complex.
