This is the part where I live tweet my #uxrconf talk (thx for the idea @albanvillamil @uxrcollective). 1/ We all have those phases in our lives where we’re not sure what we’re doing with our career. I’m going to talk about a concept called #Ikigai that can help navigate this.

I dont know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.

Elon Musk's Twitter takeover sparked a surge in the use of the N-word on the social media platform. A social media research group told The Washington Post the use of the slur increased by nearly 500%. news.yahoo.com/n-word-twitter…

When speaking publicly about Truth and Reconciliation I am often asked “Can you suggest one thing I can do for Reconciliation?” I never have a ready answer for this, so on this #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation, here is a list of simple things you can do: a thread…

This is cool! sfpc.io The School for Poetic Computation is an artist-run school in NY exploring the intersections of code, design, hardware and theory — focusing on artistic intervention. It’s a hybrid of a school, residency and research group. #CriticalUX

(cont. Design Justice principles) 7-We share design knowledge and tools with our communities. 8-We work towards sustainable, community-led and -controlled outcomes. 9-We work towards non-exploitative solutions that reconnect us to the earth and to each other. #CriticalUX

love these Design Justice principles 1-We use design to sustain, heal, and empower our communities, as well as to seek liberation from exploitative and oppressive systems. 2-We center the voices of those who are directly impacted by the outcomes of the design process. #CriticalUX

#criticalux panel discussion: Incrementalism is the main survival tactic of police - they're not doing it (it = body cams, choke hold bans, etc.) to change, they're doing it to survive. Police change just enough to preserve themselves as an institution. #abolishthepolice

I am so stoked for this final panel of #CriticalUX: "Design as Resistance," leading off with one of my favorite voices in design as a path for subversion and abolition, @SFath ❤️ I highly recommend their essay "abolish the cop in your (designers) head" designmuseumfoundation.org/abolish-the-co…

Delighted to be able to catch the last bit of the #criticalux panels by @hmntycntrd -- currently discussing 'Design as Resistance' + the inner cop and security nihilism (ie. not engaging in privacy/security measures/surveilling practices - despite how these affect the aggregate)

The only way to guarantee no political discussion at an organization is to only hire people where the result of politics does not affect them. Just saying "we only hire rich white cis men" would have been a 1000 words shorter, @jasonfried. world.hey.com/jason/changes-…
