1990-1991 has become important in hindsight. Back then, my TUM research group published principles of (1) the P in ChatGPT, (2) the T in ChatGPT, (3) GANs (now used for deepfakes), (4) neural network distillation (key for DeepSeek and other LLMs), (5) artificial curiosity for improving neural World Models (now a hot topic), (6) LSTM (the most cited AI paper of the 20th century), (7) deep residual learning (basis of the most cited paper of the 21st century). As of 2025, the two most frequently cited scientific articles of all time (most citations within 3 years - manuals excluded) are both directly based on our 1991 work. See the revised 2026 report "Deep Learning: Our Miraculous Year 1990-1991" (52 pages, 300+ references, 38 illustrations): arxiv.org/abs/2005.05744

Please do not enroll your children into Galgotias University in India even though it was awarded the best private University by our honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi. The Journal of Molecular Pharmaceuticals and Regulatory Affairs is a retired journal. Last publication was in 2019. matjournals.in/index.php/JMPR… There is a predatory version of the same journal which is also retired. Last publication was in 2022. matjournals.com/Journal-of-Mol… The paper written by a "Research Scholar" from Galgotias University, titled: "Corona Virus Killed by Sound Vibrations Produced by Thali or Ghanti: A Potential Hypothesis," is possibly published in the predatory one, not the original one...and retracted from there too. This was reported by Retraction Watch: retractionwatch.com/retracted-coro… Imagine the credibility of a researcher, of getting published in a predatory journal and getting retracted from a predatory journal? That is what Galgotias University does to its students.

STAY WITH ME. A few years ago, a patient was referred to me because he was diagnosed with complicated cirrhosis. He had an infection which led to a condition called hepatic encephalopathy (brain failure due to high ammonia levels). The treatment largely involved ammonia reducing therapies. One drug was central to this - Rifaximin - a non-absorbable antibiotic that reduced ammonia in the body. I prescribed him Rifaximin for 6 weeks and advised him follow-up. He came back to me, not after six weeks, but in 4 weeks, this time, in liver coma (worst stage of brain failure - due to very high ammonia). He spent two days in the ICU and six days in total in the hospital. His hospital bill was close to INR 80,000. He had no insurance and his wife borrowed the money from neighbors and friends to clear hospital dues. Upon questioning, I found that he was not taking the Rifaximin drug I had prescribed. He was only on the other two drugs (one, a syrup called lactulose for improving ammonia clearance in gut). I was furious, because the patient spent a whole week unecessarily in the ICU and wasted so much money that he never had - just because he was "not compliant" to my orders. I decided it was time for me to school him a bit. But I was wrong. He was compliant. He had purchased Rifaximin and was on it. For 15 days. Thereafter, he could not afford it. He was an autorickshaw driver who shuttled school children every morning and evening. He could hardly make ends meet. He had two children of his own. The Rifaximin brand I prescribed him was 42 rupees per tablet. He had to consume two a day - which would mean 2520 rupees a month. He just did not have that money - so he skipped it - to not compromise on other important matters - childrens education and food. He was confused and scared about opting for a cheaper version of Rifaximin because one, he was unsure about the quality of Rifaximin that was not prescribed by me and two, he was "scared" that I would scold him for buying a cheaper Rifaximin and if that got him into trouble. I was confused and scared about prescribing a cheaper version of Rifaximin because one, I was unsure about the quality of Rifaximin that was not "a good promoted brand" and two, I was "scared" that his family would scold me for prescribing a cheaper Rifaximin and if that got him into trouble. It is heartbreaking that many doctors still simply don’t trust generic medicines. Too often, they worry that these cheaper options are lower quality or might cause more problems than the big, famous brands. This fear leads them to prescribe expensive drugs instead, and the real tragedy is that it pushes vital healthcare out of reach for the ordinary people who need it most - like my patient. This narrative, that generic drugs 'are never good' and that only big pharmaceutical marketed drugs are what works has been deeply ingrained into doctors and patients alike - I do not know by whom and since when. Looking back, these strong emotions were based on either opinions, testimonials or second- and third-hand information. Not evidence. Like I said. Stay with me. This is life changing and will disrupt the drug market in India. Here are the results of The Citizens Generic vs. Brand Drugs Quality Project. 1/11

Dear Ms. Bendre, as a clinician sub-specialist treating a multitude of cancer patients daily, I expected better from you. Cancer-survivors, especially celebrity cancer-survivors are an important asset/ resource for cancer patients and their families when it comes to science based, rationalistic and logical therapeutic journeys which help improve outlook towards cancer diagnosis, care and prevention. You are not helping here, by promoting quackery. Let me explain. Long read, but worth your time. In 2018, you were diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic endometrial cancer that had spread to other parts of the body. You moved to New York for an intense cancer treatment regimen, including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. In 2019, you shared that you had achieved remission, and was officially cancer-free and returned to India. I repeat, your cancer went into remission after chemotherapy, radiation and surgery at an advanced cancer treatment hospital. Not because of Naturopathy. Not because of autophagy. Because you have the option (and privilege) to opt for the best treatments from scientific practice to help you. Naturopathy is a quackery. Fraudulent cancer treatments offered under the guise of naturopathy are a serious issue, with numerous reported cases of patients being financially exploited and potentially harmed by delaying effective, evidence-based medical care. The FDA has issued multiple warning letters to inform patients regarding illegally sold cancer treatments - Naturopathy features prominently in most: fda.gov/consumers/heal… In scientifically progressive countries, Naturopaths have been banned from promoting treatments for cancer - abc.net.au/news/2024-03-2… In an exhaustive list of unproven and disproven cancer treatments, Naturopathy features alongside the other nonsensical pseudoscientific "therapies" such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_u… A very famous Naturopath, left Naturopathy and has been educating people to not opt for Naturopathy as a treatment option for anything. Her name is Britt Marie Hermes and I strongly advice everyone to follow her and read her blogs. naturopathicdiaries.com and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britt_Mar…. She calls Naturopathy - essentially "witchcraft" just like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, Unani are. Now this whole 'hungama' about autophagy. Autophagy is a normal physiological process. It happens normally inside you whether you want it or not. Autophagy is simply your cells' recycling system - when nutrients are scarce, cells break down and reuse damaged or unnecessary components to survive. While this process is important for normal cellular health, naturopaths and fasting promoters dangerously misrepresent it by claiming that fasting "activates autophagy" to prevent or cure cancer, despite no credible human evidence supporting this. The reality is far more complex: cancer cells actually exploit autophagy to survive harsh conditions like chemotherapy and low oxygen, meaning that triggering autophagy could theoretically help tumours survive rather than eliminate them. This oversimplified "detox" narrative preys on vulnerable cancer patients by promising miraculous results from fasting regimens while potentially delaying proven treatments, ignoring that the relationship between autophagy and cancer is highly context-dependent and still being researched. The ethical violation lies in marketing unproven interventions as cancer cures based on superficial understanding of cellular biology, exploiting patients' hope while potentially causing harm through malnutrition or treatment delays. Naturopathy research especially on nutritional medicine and fasting is highly fraudulent and misleading: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC91… So ditch that Naturopath and these quack principles, and start embracing real scientific medicine. I wish you the best in your journey forward as an ally in fighting cancer, for patients and their family. And for doctors who work hard to improve cancer patients lives.

She is Sunita Oyam, a 23 year old Maoist who had a ₹14 lakh bounty and has now surrendered. Under the MP govt’s Ladla Naxal surrender yojna, she is eligible for: 1. ₹14 lakh surrender incentive (since the incentive is ₹5 lakh or the declared reward amount, whichever is higher). 2. ₹20 lakh grant for the purchase of immovable property/land. 3. ₹1.5 lakh grant for house construction. 4. ₹20,000 to ₹4.5 lakh ex-gratia for surrendering working weapons (depending on weapon category). 5. ₹50,000 marriage allowance. 6. ₹1.5 lakh for education or vocational training. 7. Eligibility for a govt job, most commonly in the police department. What a life, man! Pick up a weapon, wage war against the country, kill people, be wanted in three states, and then surrender one day to enjoy the good life. Meanwhile, there are people who slave away like donkeys to feed their families and still can’t save in a lifetime what a Ladla Naxal can get just by surrendering.
