Trying to bring back the early RuneScape vibes. Phantasma will be everything I loved in a game.

Existing Web2 games will never go to a true Web3 route or do a proper integration using Web3. They make to much money to do that and will actually lose a ton of money empowering their users. It just makes no sense for them. The path is clear for new games to emerge. Implementing an successful model will be key for more people to follow an similar path. We have only seen poor Web3 integrations based on ponzi schematics that have become successful. These are not good examples of Web3 integration. I have always said that Web3 games should be focused on the Web2 side first. Build the game right first, and do not enforce the Web3 side. Users should not have to buy thousands of dollars in assets to play the game right. Web3 integration should come in the form of empowering their users by giving them self custody of their assets and their authentication for security reasons. This should be optional. Being optional will allow the onboarding of millions of users into Web3. The road thus far has been plagued with bad intentions by people filled with greed. I truly hope that the games that have the attention and money do things right for the scene as a whole.
