Hello, welcome! Here you will find my worldbuilding project, Resonant Evolution. Read all the stories and archives here: linktr.ee/jayk_and Resonant Evolution is a re imagining of the Milky way galaxy where anthros have created hundreds of Faster than light civilizations in the stars. One of these civilizations, the Eckzahn Union, invades Earth in 2029 after discovering technology left over by an ancient civilization. However, Resonant Evolution encompasses the whole Orion Arm over decades. And I've only scratched the surface of what i have planned.

Lore Friday #1: The Imperium of Osnya The Osnyan Imperium is a vast nation in the Eastern Carnelian Continent. They claim direct descendance from the ancient Augustan Empire, a fact they are most proud of. They are the largest Fakonan nation, a faith centered around the teachings of Lady Fakona, one of the daughters of the last Augustan Emperor, and who saved what remained of the Empire from the barbarian hordes, and from an ancient evil known only as "The Red Terror". Their nation has the greatest dragon population in the world, and their faith considers dragons holy beings, as they are creatures of Light and Fire. Their Aerial Dragon Corps are the most numerous and best trained in the world. This has allowed them to remain relatively secure throughout the Third and Fourth eras (Medieval and Early Modern equivalent). However, all this would change with the advent of industry. In Year 134, 5th Era, they were invaded by the Eclipse Empire following years of worsening relations over shipping rights, starting the First Burning Steel War. Initially, the Osnyan Legion was completely outmatched by the EE's industrial and mechanized capabilities, and they lost a third of their territory. However, thanks to vast military and industrial reforms spearheaded by Grand Ektore Dekebus the Vth, a brutal and lengthy fighting retreat, and sheer patriotic zeal, the Osnyan Legion was able to stop their enemy at the Foakmon Mountains in 138. Following two years of brutal mountain and urban warfare known as "The Thirteen Battles of the Foakmons", the Osnyan Legion was able to beat their enemy back. In another two years, Osnya retook all of their lost territory, and were invading the Kingdom of Alexandrios, the Eclipse Empire's largest and most important province. In 142, the EE surrendered. Thanks to greatly expanding the industry, growing their territory, and jealously guarding the patents of their best and largest cargo airships, Osnyan economy boomed in the post-war years. It would seem that they have achieved the greatness of the old Augustan Empire, despite the war's devastation, and the new phenomenon of air pirates preying on the increasingly vital cargo airships.

Never trust an artist that tells you using reference is bad. Being a good artist means researching and understanding the world around you and applying that knowledge in creative ways. Referencing life and history are fundamental to inspiring ideas and informing details.

Update: Adeena seems to be feeling better this morning. She's no longer scared, she purrs, and is eating normally (bought her some soup type food so she can eat it more easily).
