Tonight’s #KUCancerFighter hero is Will Biggs, a 47-year-old husband and father of two from Gardner, KS currently battling Stage IV colon cancer.
Will was first diagnosed in July and has met his cancer battle with a determined & courageous mindset. Chemotherapy has been grueling but his doctors are seeing encouraging results for this former KU pep & marching band member.
Will was a fixture in the KU bands when he was first on campus between 1996-2000. He then went on to lead the band at Gardner-Edgerton High School for many years but is now back on Mount Oread studying for his PhD in the Music Education and Music Therapy program at KU. He’s got big plans post-graduation so he’s determined to win this cancer battle & encourage others to get screened for colon cancer as well. Will implores all Jayhawks, “Don’t put off your colonoscopies!” Will, we appreciate all you’re doing to encourage and inform others about colon cancer. Can’t wait to hear you back in the alumni band. Tonight’s call is for you, brother!

On October 28, 1965 the final piece of the Gateway Arch was put into place and the icon of St. Louis was born. It was created as a symbol of westward expansion in the US and a monument to President Thomas Jefferson.
Designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, the Gateway Arch rises 63 stories above downtown St. Louis. Since 1965, millions of people from all over the world have traveled to St. Louis to take the Tram Ride to the Top of “The Gateway to the West.”
It cost a total of $15 million to build over 2 years and no one died while working on the Arch, despite insurers of the project predicting 13 people would die during construction.

The polls are broken. #Mizzou lost by one score at a top 12 team and finished on the 1-yard line and fell six spots. Oklahoma lost by one score to a top eight team and fell seven. Just line em up by number of losses, it's way easier and there's no suspense.
