Gyfeillion. I've already seen some pretty awful comments on social media about new Senedd members from several parties incl in Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf - can I make a plea for people to keep in mind before posting - is it kind, is it helpful, is it necessary? DIOLCH!

Election law means the signs have to come down. But my commitment to scrapping the Senedd’s 36 new members remains. 12,464 people lent us their votes in the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend after we made this pledge. It is my duty to speak up for them.

I find the adoption of these wholly Welsh constituency names to be ridiculous.
No one living in Monmouthshire refers to it at as Sir Fynwy.

On a personal level, I feel sorry for Eluned Morgan.
It was a big deal that she was the first woman to be First Minister.
Say what you want about her, but to suggest the Labour result is just down to her is wrong.
She was dealt a terrible hand, both from the group in the Senedd she inherited and by the relentless apathy of her colleagues in London.
She didn't take a healthy Welsh Labour Party and make it sick.
While there were huge shortcomings in how she led the Welsh Government, the seeds of today WERE PLANTED LONG AGO.
If Labour try to pin this all on her and fail to learn lessons, they will continue in their spiral.

Gutted to hear about Dai Hunt, I had some fun with him over the years but would chat with him regularly and liked him a lot.
He simply lived for Cardiff City, taken far too young without doubt but somewhat fitting it happened as his beloved Bluebirds were promoted.
