Neil Gray is the latest senior SNP figure facing questions over the Jordan Linden scandal after local councillors accused him of failing to engage on the allegations several years ago. During a lengthy North Lanarkshire Council debate on Thursday, a motion passed urging councillors who supported the convicted sex offender to resign. Linden, the former council leader, was convicted of 10 offences last week, including five sexual assaults, between 2011 and 2021. Over the last week, North Lanarkshire councillors who left the SNP after raising the alarm against Linden, have accused First Minister John Swinney of ignoring a letter demanding a review of how the SNP handled complaints. The letter was sent in September 2025, but a response was never received. Now, Mr Gray, who is the MSP for Airdrie and Shotts, is among more senior SNP figures reportedly made aware of the allegations 👇
