Started building MWX Alpha, thinking we'd ship "another Nansen, but cheaper." By month 3 the assumption was wrong. The problem wasn't the depth of intelligence (which every serious team can get there). The problem was delivery latency. The market moves in minutes, while dashboards still wait for you to log in. So we killed the dashboard mental model. Switched to push. A lot of buildings look like that. You start with one idea, reality forces you to get more honest, and the product gets better for it.
