There were a lot of posts about Microsoft MVP Award renewals yesterday... and I want to congratulate everyone who received an award in this cycle. That being said, most MVP's are not in it for the award or the benefits... they are simply looking for a third party acknowledgement that they have "given more than they have received". The volunteer spirit is what drives the Microsoft MVP program and it is the selfless contributions which help others succeed and enriches the ecosystem. So in addition to patting folks on the back for receiving the MVP Award, please remember the significant time and effort they have invested in speaking engagements, podcasts, user groups and events, open source projects, community support, etc... For me personally, "giving is its own reward" and I am humbled by how much I have received since I was first recognized as an MVP back in 2004. I would also like to point out that the motivation to help others is uniquely a human trait and will never be replicated by AI. #MVPBuzz @MVPAward
