@sc2starkey @metathomist @ManhanCam E-verify needs to be mandatory and if you hire an illegal even to mow your lawn you need a progressive fine starting at $5k and doubling for every infraction. 3 illegal gardeners would be a total of $40,000 plus court and attorney costs. Problem solved.

@LiamTomp @UrbanPosting If you only count non-Hispanic whites, it's closer to 2 which is still higher. But the meme is about being victimized, not committing murder. Also the numbers in Europe don't factor in differences between races. The meme is statistically false no matter how you cut it.

I would guess that the salt in the broth caused your body to retain all the liquid you took in for those days. I do dialysis and sometimes it leaves me dehydrated, the quickest way to rehydrate is chicken broth for specifically that reason. I’m not sure that’s what it was for you but it’s what I’d guess.

@Hitchslap1 @DelphikiJu19228 its not always about math. I fasted for 5 days, zero calories and lost weight, but on day 6 I ate broth I didn't know had MSG and my weight loss stopped completely for the next 3 days. The body has certain ways to slow weight loss to try to survive.

So many people angrily replying to this apparently forgot basic driver's ed. An "unmarked crosswalk" is still a legal pedestrian crossing. It's not jaywalking. They have the right of way. You should be stopping for them regardless of whether the LAPD is doing an op.

NEW: The LAPD is setting up drivers by having someone walk across the street in an "unmarked crosswalk" so they can then give tickets to people who don't stop. "Recently, LAPD Van Nuys division conducted a Pedestrian Enforcement Taskforce," they shared online.
