No #Scalathon in Philly this year. ScalaDays: mid-June. Silicon Valley Scala Symposium: Aug. 2. It'd be too many conf's in too short a time.

It's official: Silicon Valley Scala Symposium will be August 2nd, at Intel's Campus in Santa Clara.

To clarify, only the W. Coast Scalathon by @ymasory is becoming a symposium. Please feel free to use the Scalathon name for your hackathons!

We believe Scalathon has successfully served its purpose. 2013 will feature a Silicon Valley Scala Symposium instead!! Stay tuned for date.

To provide a little more calendar spacing, Scalathon's date is moving, probably to "late summer". More details as they are available.

Scalathon 2013 planning is blocked by a lack of a date for Scala Days. We've been unsuccessful trying to reach someone from Typesafe.

TENTATIVE: Bay Area Scala Symposium will be June 14, and Scalathon 2013 will be June 15-16. Both at Intel's campus in Santa Clara.

Scalathon is in need of a venue. Somewhere in the Bay Area with capacity for ~125 people. Can your company help?
