A. alot of plays when he gets behind the receiver and is never able to turn his head around B. Only two of the top 15 highest paid CBs are under 5’11 and they are both 5’10 C. Rivers size doesn’t even fit that as he is 5’9 I get that Rivers is your guy he just isn’t what I look for in a corner. I didn’t say he can’t be good, just not the profile of a player I would value where others have.

I watched the tape on him too. He is good zone defender. He is great a driving on balls and players in underneath zones. In man to man especially vs press he ends up getting beat too often and has to play th rest of the play with his back to the quarterback. That problem is going to be even greater at the NFL level. I don’t think he has the length to play outside so he has to be a nickel for me. He is going need to add weight in the NFL which will probably limit his speed to below average. I get that you disagree and yes a do value size at the position. Nothing on the tape makes think his size won’t be an issue for him.

@scamrashad Sorry didn’t mean to offend the leader of the Chandler Rivers fan club. I just see a short with even shorter arms cornerback, that is a good but not great NFL athlete. Seems like a lot for a guy to overcome to pick in the top 3 rounds.

@NFL_DougFarrar show me film of him getting beat over the top or getting out jumped for a ball..there should be plenty of options to choose from as he’s played close to 3500 snaps.

Duke DB Chandler Rivers played quite a few reps outside in college, but I don't see that sticking at the NFL level. Feisty competitor with a lot of nickel potential who tackles like a boss for his size. The challenge at the next level will be the catch point in press/bail.
