@grabthisbook @dakegra Reading the descriptions there's nothing about the qualities of the stories and a lot about the marketing campaigns... Also, the Sally Smith was first published in 2024 - I read and enjoyed her 2025 2nd book in the series so am confused as to why that isn't the title included.

on a pod today where I praised ECONOMY & PACE in crime writing but this one 👇 began w a completely irrelevant Muhammad Ali chapter; DI Duffy#8 began w an irrelevant poetry reading chapter & Duffy#4 almost began w an entire chapter of the letter "S" until I was talked out of it
