@thomasforth Isn't background population density just higher in Britain than US making these comparisons a bit unfair

Bradford is a bigger city than San Francisco. From the centre of both cities, at any distance at all, equal or more people will live near Bradford. San Francisco has, of course, vastly more transport infrastructure.
