Contador, Evans, Froome & Quintaña forsøgte alle at gøre forsøget omkring deres prime, men fejlede - ofte stort.

@daniellloyd1 I dont think so. UAE was doing long range attrition attack and the foolish competitors sit and wait. First pave and all is full and legit racing.

That's an exaggeration - they'll all have their own plans of course, but there's definitely some hesitation and confusion in those situations.

The hesitation at the front here feels very similar to the Cipressa. Everybody knows UAE's plan for the race, but when that goes out the window, the others don't know what to do.

and you call it a race, which, due to the draft at 3-4%, allows you to be 40 seconds slower and to stay with the wheel. Jebeni Ciciban

I would really like for MVDP and Pog to have a flying start into Cipressa after 240 km of driving and until top of Cipressa, each on their own side without the possibility of a draft. Do you know how far Pog would be ahead of VDP at top? 30-40 seconds

Bekymrende svaghedstegn, come on. Der er næsten fire måneder til Touren.

PT 4 @Watts2Win The W/kg Vingegaard produced today was 7.26 for 8:56 minutes. Pogačar produced 7.52 W/kg for 8:56 on the famous Cipressa climb in 2025. Pogačar went completely all-out to drop MVDP, but Vingegaard didn't look like someone who was going all-out today.

PT 1 Many people were surprised that Jonas Vingegaard couldn’t even drop Lenny Martinez on today’s stage of Paris–Nice. I tried to make a small “mini analysis” of the watts that were produced on the decisive climb today. Was it really that bad from Vingegaard?

Jonas Vingegaard (Visma Lease a Bike) WINS stage 5 of Paris-Nice in Colombier-le-Vieux after a 20 km solo raid! 👏🇩🇰He wanted to show he doesn't need to follow wheels in order to demolish everyone. Boss move in Yellow Jersey, loved it. #ParisNice

The US American right wing is now blaming Europe for not helping them attack Iran. To be honest, Europe does not yet have very clear opinions about this. The USA launched a war without warning, without a public debate, and without consulting Europe, so we are only now starting to form opinions about it. Right now, I think most people feel like this: NATO is a defensive alliance. We have no obligation to join U.S. attacks on other countries. We would only do so if they involved us and presented compelling reasons, clear objectives, and a solid plan. And all of that is missing. There is no question that the Iranian regime is evil and deserves to be overthrown after it killed 30,000 demonstrators. But the goal does not seem to be regime change, and the threat of nuclear weapons is not convincing. We all remember the USA lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and cannot be expected to trust a similar claim at face value again. We need better reasons and stronger evidence before entering a war without a plan that is likely to result in chaos. I am open to arguments, but I think this is how most Europeans feel right now.

I was honored to attend the service in Holmens Kirke yesterday marking four years since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.  As our colleagues from @USEmbKyiv noted yesterday: "President Trump remains committed to achieving a negotiated settlement and lasting peace that ensures Ukraine's independent and prosperous future, with the United States as a strong and committed partner."

Love that he is starting Omloop If he is in last season's Samyn/Tirreno shape, it could turn out to be a very fun race
Alpecin - Premier Tech@AlpecinPT

MvdP spring campaign locked in. 🔒 As announced after the Cyclo-cross World Championships, @mathieuvdpoel waited to complete his first training block before making a final decision on his road return. After a few solid weeks on the bike, he feels race-ready and will line up at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 🔥 His programme largely mirrors last season. Tirreno-Adriatico will serve as preparation for Milano-Sanremo, the first Monument of the year. From there: E3 Saxo Classic, In Flanders Fields (Middelkerke-Wevelgem), and the cobbled Monuments Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix. The Classics are calling 💨 #AlpecinPremierTech

Trump drags Europe through the mud every day, but the European representatives at the Munich Security Conference seem to relish the taste of boot soles. The supposed guardians of democracy and peace, they stand up and clap like trained seals for Marco Rubio – the foreign minister of a regime that drags Europe through the mud anew each day. Rubio, the smooth-talking messenger of Donald Trump, mutters a few platitudes about "transatlantic ties" and "shared history," and your backbone melts away like snow in the Munich February sun. A standing ovation? That's not applause, that's surrender! After a year of Trump 2.0, you're following his MAGA disciples like lemmings toward a cliff. Trump, the man who calls NATO "obsolete," insults Europe as a "freeloader," and mocks your leaders as "losers" – every single day. He threatens you with tariffs that will ruin your economy and alliances that will isolate you. And Rubio? He serves it all up in a sugary-sweet package: "We belong together!" Sure, together—as long as you pay up, kowtow, and stroke Trump's ego. Your ovation wasn't thanks for wisdom, but a bow to the perverse Epstein friend. Where is your pride? Where are your principles? These aren't the politicians with backbone that Europe so desperately needs. These are sycophants, opportunists. You played Putin apologists for four years and now you've been Trump's sycophants for one. Europe deserves better: leaders who stand up for values, not those who grovel for applause. Wake up before Trump finally throws you into the abyss—or are you already too used to the taste of boot soles?
