Well-Being in Law Week reminds us of the importance of caring for ourselves and each other. We appreciated the chance to learn from Frances Brown Anderson during this week's lunch and learn with the @SCBAR's Lawyers Helping Lawyers program.

RG Partner Ben Gooding recently participated in a pro bono event hosted by the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court and the @SCBAR Pro Bono Program that provided wills for Habitat for Humanity homeowners. Kudos to all the volunteers for their commitment to this cause!

Attorney/author Angus Lawton visited @Charleston_Law to speak to students about alternative dispute resolution. Lawton's book, Mediation and ADR in Civil Matters in SC is published by the @SCBAR. Vice Dean Lawton and Professor McElreath served on the book's editorial board.

Prediction: The @SCBAR is going to get approximately 12,000 applications for this position.

A week ago, I asked the Courts for three weeks of protection to be with my wife after the birth of our firstborn. Today, unsolicited, I received a small gift for the baby in the mail from an opposing counsel wishing us well. I love being a lawyer in South Carolina. @SCBAR

Today’s ‘Ethics & Easements’ CLE was a success! Our attorneys & their co-panelists presented on various topics regarding legal malpractice law in SC & beyond. Thank you to the @SCBAR for hosting this CLE and to our guest panelists for sharing their valuable insights with us.

Last week, Jess Gooding presented at the @SCBAR's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) annual seminar, It's All A Game: Top Trial Lawyers Tackle Evidence, where she discussed trial issues such as evidence being destroyed and witnesses who plead the 5th. Don't miss her presentation this Friday, where she will be on the Plaintiff's team in @abota_sc's annual Masters In Trial CLE!
