@Dadbod_Games It took some effort, but I managed to make it run at 60fps for most of the game.

@scene23093 that pixel art looks crisp, is the switch version running at 60fps or did you have to optimize differently for handheld?

@SandyofCthulhu The character uses logic throughout the film to navigate every situation. At the very end, he is faced with the insurmountable - he does the logical thing. Sometimes you just have to have hope, however illogical it may be.

I hated this ending so much I've been unable to rewatch the film. I feel it COMPLETELY undercuts and weakens the premise. Is it dark because he kills his friends. Yeah, I guess. But the ORIGINAL ENDING in which they are forced to stay in the evil monster-filled mist is a thousand times darker. Because everyone STILL dies. And the fact that the US army is apparently able to easily kill the mist monsters also destroys retroactively any fear I had of them. Heck if they'd been in a Target instead of a grocery store they could have armed themselves and shot their way out I guess. ARGH I hate the movie Mist's ending, and it's not because it's "dark". It's because it's NOT "dark". Ugh ugh ugh.

The Mist ending was so darker that Stephen King said he loved it more than his own story. The book ends ambiguously with survivors trapped in the supermarket. In the film, David sacrifices his son and the group, only to find rescue was moments away.
