Boogie Nights is stacked with nice relaxed confident performances and then Julianne Moore is putting up Wilt numbers. Everyone's great but she's like top 10 Hollywood performances of the 90s

I'll always remember Chuck Norris as the man who changed the course of dodgeball history by casting the deciding vote that allowed Average Joes to play in the championship of the Las Vegas International Dodgeball Open where they upset the heavily favored Globo Gym Purple Cobras. RIP. 🙏

Can’t support this in any way. Unethical, and just outright bullshit. This is no way to celebrate the legacy of the amazing actor Val was, family-approved or not.

Obsessed with the stretch in the mid-80s when William Petersen played the tormented investigators in To Live and Die in L.A. and Manhunter. In my mind these movies feel almost related. Not only because of Petersen, but because of how emblematic they are of that specific time.

@heykazmo It’s mostly all audio experience and great use of negative spaces. If you thought skinamarink was scary you’d probably think this is too!

Really trying to decide if I should see Undertone. I’m hearing either scariest movie ever or too boring to exist. I don’t know what to make of that. Skinamarink scared me real bad lol.

Stop saying every older artist's win is a career award. PTA had 14 nominations or something but no one has said that about him. Madigan wouldn't have won on narrative alone. The main reason why she has won is because her performance was undeniable. #Oscars

1. The sole nominee from her film, the first actor to win under that circumstance in any acting category since Julianne Moore which was 11 years ago 2. Her second Oscar nomination nearly 40 years after her first 3. Delivered a performance in a horror film, a genre the Academy has historically overlooked 4. Faced strong competition whose films were all nominated for more than six Oscars including Best Picture, unlike Weapons 5. Didn’t sweep the entire season and wasn’t even nominated at the BAFTAs 6. Was almost unrecognizable in the role 7. And while she’s a respected veteran, she wasn’t exactly one of those names people immediately think of at her age unlike Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, or Sigourney Weaver who are also in their 70s I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could see Amy Madigan’s win as a “career” or “legacy” award. In retrospect, she could have very easily lost this race, which makes the win feel even more earned rather than some automatic legacy recognition. Say what you will about the result, but this is absolutely NOT a career win. She’s simply that good in Weapons that the industry responded to the performance itself without any major “long overdue” narrative driving it. And you can't make any excuse out of that 🤷
