Recentemente, dei uma entrevista ao Notícias R7 sobre a anemia aplástica, condição abordada na novela Força de Mulher. Na trama, a protagonista Bahar enfrenta a necessidade de um transplante de medula óssea após o diagnóstico da doença. A anemia aplástica (ou aplásica) se caracteriza pela incapacidade da medula óssea de produzir células sanguíneas suficientes, resultando em sintomas como fraqueza, fadiga e sangramentos. Essa condição pode ser hereditária, mas a forma adquirida, em que o sistema imunológico ataca a medula óssea, é a mais prevalente. O diagnóstico é realizado através de hemograma e a biópsia da medula, enquanto o tratamento pode envolver transplante ou terapia imunossupressora, dependendo do perfil do paciente.
