The most demonic hijacking of a word in the English language was the perversion of the use of the word “truth.” It converted objective meaning into subject feeling. No, not what I'm saying. Native Americans are not one homogenous group. Some are fine with the logo/name. Some love it. But the *single largest* representative body of Native Tribes, the National Congress of American Indians, representing 200~ tribes, oppose it. That's enough.

You declaration of permanency is premature. There was a Constitutional Amendment barring alcohol consumption. That was reversed in a decade. If the hardest law to pass and reverse in American jurisprudence, a Constitutional Amendment, can change, a sports mascot can change.
