@JeninYounesEsq The problem is that it ideologically suits the agenda of the American rightwing to now turn against Israel, but it does not mean that they are for Palestinians.

Don’t get me wrong, I am very glad so many Americans are coming around to the truth about Israel, especially on the right, due to the influence of people with credibility to them like Tucker Carlson, MTG, and Dave Smith. At the same time, as the daughter of a Palestinian, it’s annoying that so few Americans have listened to Palestinians on this subject for decades. The situation now is the worst it’s been for Palestinians, but it’s also not new. Rather, it is the foreseeable result of founding a state on ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide; Israel has acted with utter brutality towards Palestinians since its inception, with some periods less repressive than others. I listened to my father’s stories about the misery of life under the Israeli occupation since I was in the crib, and when I was just a bit older sought out every book I could find on the subject. Yet, whenever Israel went on a murderous bender, as it did in 2012 and 2014 (just two examples), I’d try to explain the situation for Palestinians to people around me, and was dismissed as anti-Semitic, ignorant, or both. In 2014, my supposed best friend told me I should listen to Hillary Clinton if I really wanted to understand (don’t worry, she’s no longer my friend). It would be nice if people considered listening to those with close personal ties to circumstances like these and take into consideration that they may not be getting the real picture from the media and politicians. It would have saved countless Palestinian lives (and Israeli lives too!) and taxpayer dollars if Americans listened to Palestinians/palestinian-Americans decades ago and considered their point of view

@academic_la Negotiations are purely performative and play right into Netanyahu's hands to allow time for continued genocide. Israel will not stop until it occupies all of Palestine, unless there is forceful international intervention (unlikely).

Hamas accepted the latest ceasefire proposal which would see the release of 28 hostages followed by talks to end the war. Israel has decided not to even give an answer. That is a fact. Israel does not want to end this until its genocidal and have been fulfilled. Period.
Mohammad Alsaafin@malsaafin

It’s been two days since Hamas accepted yet another ceasefire proposal (by my count the fourth time the group has done so). It’s just been ignored by Israel and the United States.

A Letter from Hell (Part 1) I write this not as a doctor, nor a son, nor a man. I write this as one who has descended into the bowels of hell and returned, not with prophecy, but with silence in his throat and blood under his nails. What you are about to read is not a message. It is a confession. A cry. A record of our descent. And God help me, perhaps a final prayer. We are trapped in a spiral, a great, grinding wheel of misery that turns not by accident, but by the hands of men. It is not fate that starves us. It is not Heaven that bombs us. It is the logic of the powerful, the rituals of violence, the cold arithmetic of geopolitics that has made our streets into slaughterhouses. Each morning, I wake with the same thought: Has the battery died? Not mine. I have long been emptied. But the one in my phone. I need it alive long enough to charge again at the hospital, to remain tethered to something, anything, that suggests we still belong to the living. There is no water. There is no breakfast. There is no “routine.” There is only a salt-stained bucket of seawater where a sink once stood. I wash my face, not to cleanse, but to remember that I am still flesh and not yet dust. I do not eat. We eat once a day, if we can. We save what scraps remain for one midday communion: rice, lentils, silence. I arrive at the hospital, and the doctor greets me with an inventory of absence: No more orthopedic implants. No promethazine. No certainty. No hope. The floors are red. Not metaphorically. Not poetically. They are red. And this is what I ask myself: Is our blood even red? Are we made of the same clay, the same sorrow, the same divine breath that once stirred the lungs of Adam? If so, then why do we die like vermin? Why does the world avert its eyes while we rot in full view? Why does one hostage’s hunger move the soul of nations, while the skeletal bodies of two million children evoke nothing but polite disbelief? I have lost fifteen kilograms. My bones have names now. My cheeks are hollowed caverns. The children, God, the children are unrecognizable. They are no longer children. They are shadows with eyes. And still I said: release the hostages. Every last one. Without conditions. Because no life should be bartered like coin. But now I ask you. No, I demand of you. Who will fight for us? Who will demand our release from this monstrous tribunal of fire and famine? We did not vote for war. We did not ignite this blaze. We are fuel. Nothing more. We are the tinder that keeps the headlines burning. I tried to escape. I begged. I bribed. I wept like a child. But I failed. And now all that remains is this: stay alive, one more day, in a place designed to extinguish life itself. #GazaGenocide

Gaza City is being wiped out. The world is complicitly watching and supporting another genocidal escalation. Another “red line” is being crossed without military, political and economic consequences for Israel.
UN Palestine Committee@UNISPAL

Amid ongoing Israeli attacks, ‘the systematic destruction of Gaza City is already underway’: UN rights office said. In recent days, the Israeli military has escalated attacks across Gaza City, reportedly deciding to take full control. news.un.org/en/story/2025/…

Don’t stop talking about Sudan. The UAE knows it is classed as “just another African conflict,” which is why it’s effectively getting away with its crimes. While it’s important to outline the catastrophic situation of the worst humanitarian crisis in recorded history, it’s also important to name WHO is bankrolling the mass extermination and systemic starvation of our Sudanese brothers and sisters. And that is the UAE. STOP VISITING THIS MERCENARY STATE. #KeepEyesOnSudan

I feel like the world now treats the news of our deaths as if they were football match results -fleeting, leaving no impact. No shock, no sorrow, not even a momentary pause in life. They’ve grown tired of our deaths, our images, the names of our martyrs… while they continue living their days as if nothing is happening. But we… we live surrounded by death. We don’t know if we’ll wake up to the sound of bombing, or to the news that someone we love has been killed. Every moment here is heavy with fear, with loss, with tears that no longer have time to dry. Please… don’t be silent. Don’t stop sharing, don’t stop protesting, don’t stop raising your voices. You are the hope we have left. Your presence, your voice -they make a difference. They tell us: there are still those who care, who grieve, who refuse to forget.

How about people that parrot Moscow and have a partisan agenda?

Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right. Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. In doing so, they undermine our national security, the safety and security of the American people and the foundational principles of our democratic republic. This is why, at @POTUS' direction, @ODNIgov directed the revocation of the security clearances of 37 current and former intelligence professionals who have abused the public trust by politicizing and manipulating intelligence, leaking classified intelligence without authorization, and/or committing intentional egregious violations of tradecraft standards. Our Intelligence Community must be committed to upholding the values and principles enshrined in the US Constitution and maintain a laser-like focus on our mission of ensuring the safety, security and freedom of the American people.
