Emeka's startup processed 50,000 naira every minute. Then TechCabal featured them. In 4 minutes, everything was gone. The database. The payments. The investors' trust. All because of one backend concept every Nigerian engineer skips. Let me show you what killed them.

I put it to you there is existing capacity, since the capacity exists already(backed by facts), then your question becomes moot, hence my policy will work for 100 percent of all public infrastructure, for areas where true gaps exist, there will be incubation programs dedicated towards honing such capacities on live projects, with such incubators managed by elements of the Big 4, Top banks and JVs with companies from Countries who do not have a strategic interest of not seeing Nigeria develop capacity.

What I sha know is when I become Governor or President, not one foreign company or Company with the ultimate beneficiary been a foreigner will get even one contract in my government. I do not care if it will take decades for them to finish, every single project will be executed by a Nigerian Owned and Controlled Company, with ultimate beneficiary ownership by Black Nigerians.

@alpontif ...need to be balanced. U lots are fond of throwing words around and making wishful thinking but u rarely step back to ask pertinent questions and actually reason on "Execution" and that is always lacking. To "develop strategy" is easy but execution??? Dont even get me started

@alpontif 2)For the immediate operational issues wch u need to tackle as the Gov or President, how do u intend to balance that out or do u think u can afford to have a lacuna in governance? I hope my points av made it obvious to u that ideas indeed need to be thought through, priorities..

As you’re promoting your candidates to the public, try to include their impact, what they stand for, and how they can further benefit the populace. The days of emotionally blackmailing people into voting are over.

@alpontif Look, I am all for Nigerian Content and i believe firmly in it BUT we need to be pragmatic so we can come up with realistic solutions. Saying u will resume a new admin and jst stop granting permits to every non-nigerian entity out is a recipe for disaster. A very big disaster

The principle in income taxation is this: - Is it an income? - Is it a compensation for the work you do? If it is, no matter the name is it called (wage, salary, bonus, allowance, incentive etc), it is taxable. That is why it is called "income tax". All incomes are taxable except those specifically exempted in the law. If the law exempts annual bonus, it gives room for abuse. All you just need to do is ask to be paid say 10% of your pay on monthly basis and pack the remaining as annual bonus, thereby bypassing tax. And, when there is a tax exemption for an income (or part of it), it is usually targeted at some bigger economic goal. For example, when the law exempts voluntary contribution to pension from income tax, it is to encourage saving for the future. Sorry for being this serious, tax is my field and I explain at the slightest sight of misunderstanding 😀.

I’ll still never realise the rationale behind taxing of “Annual bonus”. No matter how you explain it to me, I no go gree… Dandan lowo’ori 😢. I was just been angry anyhow lataaro ni.
